Joey Logano is on top of the racing world. |
Logano won under caution when a big crash involving Jeff Gordon erupted on the backstretch on the final lap of a green-white-checkered finish. The crash started when Austin Dillon clipped Gordon from behind in the middle of the pack.
“I can’t believe it. This is absolutely amazing," Logano said. "This is awesome. The Daytona 500, oh my God. I was so nervous the whole race. … This is our weakest racetrack, we were terrible at them last year but works so hard and that works every time."
At 24, Logano was clearly in awe after his first victory in the Great American Race.
"This is so cool," he said in victory lane. "This is better than Disney World in here."
