Return of the No. 3: Austin Dillon on the pole for 2014 Daytona 500

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Rookie Austin Dillon won the pole for the 56th Daytona 500 Saturday, putting Dale Earnhardt's famous No. 3 on the front row for NASCAR's biggest race.

Martin Truex Jr. was second, also securing a spot on the front row for next Sunday's race.

Greg Biffle was third followed by Carl Edwards, Ryan Newman, Brad Keselowski and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Danica Patrick, who won the pole last year, was 25th.
