This Week’s Budweiser Chevrolet SS at New Hampshire Motor Speedway
… Kevin Harvick will pilot chassis No. 433 from the Richard Childress Racing NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stable in the SYLVANIA 300. This Chevrolet is new to the No. 29 team rotation and is scheduled to be on track for the first time this weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

New England Stats … Since the 2001 season, Harvick has made 25 Sprint Cup Series starts at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. The California native won this race back in 2006 from the pole position and has also collected five top-five and 10 top-10 finishes. The RCR driver holds an average starting position of 14.2, a 13.4 average finishing position, has completed 99.3 percent (7,323 of 7,377) of the laps contested and has 319 laps led to his credit.

Race Rewind … After starting from the 16th position, Harvick and the No. 29 Budweiser Chevrolet team scored an 11th-place finish in the 2012 SYLVANIA 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.


What is the key to running well at New Hampshire Motor Speedway?

“The hardest thing is just making your car turn in the middle of the corner and being able to have enough forward drive up off. It always seems like the New Hampshire race comes down to a track position strategy call on two tires or four tires toward the end of the race. Track position will play a big part, but getting your car to handle right will probably play an equal part.”

What do you like about racing at New Hampshire Motor Speedway?
“I always look forward to going to New Hampshire (Motor Speedway). I like that type of track because it’s flat; similar to the tracks out west where I started my racing career. There’s a lot of braking. You have to really work on getting your car through the center of the corner and still have the forward drive you need up off the corner.”
