Boris Said making his 16th Watkins Glen Sprint Cup start

Boris Said is part of 'Field' bet at 30/1 to win at Watkins Glen.

Heading into this weekend’s event at the newly paved Watkins Glen International, the No.32 Genesee Brewing Company team will head to the “The Empire State” with the anticipated return of Carlsbad, CA native Boris Said for the 31st annual Cheez-It 355 at The Glen.

Sunday’s event will mark Said’s 52nd career NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Start (NSCS), and his 16th start at the upstate New York Road Course. When it comes to racing at Watkins Glen, Said has found himself in victory lane on three occasions in the NASCAR Rolex Grand-Am Sports Car Series with the most recent win coming in 2006. Behind the wheel of a NSCS car, Said has led nine laps, and earned two top-ten finishes including a third place finish in 2005.

Not only is Watkins Glen one of my favorite race tracks anywhere in the world, I just love the area, the fans, the food and everything about it! Being able to represent Genesee is a huge honor, so hopefully I can put on a good show for them.”

Chassis Info:
Crew Chief Wally Rogers will be bringing chassis GFR-759 to serve as the primary car. This chassis last ran at Sonoma in June with Patrick Carpentier. Chassis GFR-802 will serve as the backup car.
