From the Cockpit:
Matt Kenseth:
“I enjoy the racing at Kansas, and was lucky enough to get a few wins there since the track was repaved. We earned a top-ten finish in the spring race, but I’m hoping that we can do even better this weekend since we’ve had a lot more of the season to adapt to all the changes to the rules package than we did back in May. Fortunately, we were able to get all three of our JGR (Joe Gibbs Racing) cars to advance into this next round of the Chase, and the goal is to continue to build upon our program so that we can keep advancing.”

From the Pit Box:
Jason Ratcliff:
“This year’s first race at Kansas was one of our most difficult races so far of the year for whatever reason. It was early on in the season when the new rules package was still something we were getting used to, but Kansas is just really unique. We run the same tire at Kansas as we did at Michigan, even though it’s really nothing like Michigan. I’m not entirely sure why, but for whatever the reason this spring, it just was a challenging place for us so we’re going to regroup and come up with a new game plan. Since the last time we were here, so much has changed in regards to our set-ups and our program in general, so I think things will be different for us this weekend.”
