Kevin Harvick takes the checkers at Charlotte; finally wins on 1.5-mile layout

Kevin Harvick finally wins on a 1.5-mile track this season after several near misses in 2014
CHARLOTTE — Finally, nothing went wrong for Kevin Harvick, and the season's most dominant driver won his third race of the season.

Harvick dominated the Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway and finished the race mistake-free to win the fifth race of the Chase for the Sprint Cup and advance to the third round of the championship race. Harvick has led the most laps this season and dominated several races, only to have something go wrong in almost all of them. The win was his first since the Southern 500 at Darlington in May.
