Brian Vickers Fastest in Final Chicago Practice Session

Vickers was fastest during Chicago Happy Hour on Friday

Brian Vickers, with a lap speed of 184.275 mph, posted the fastest lap during the final GEICO 400 practice session at Chicagoland Speedway.

Second quickest on the speed chart was Kasey Kahne with a lap speed of 184.087 mph, and he was followed by Matt Kenseth (183.536), Paul Menard (183.374) and Kevin Harvick (183.331).

Rounding out the top-ten quickest during “Happy Hour” were Jeff Gordon (182.852), Greg Biffle (182.828), Jimmie Johnson (182.809), David Stremme (182.766) and Carl Edwards (182.723).

The teams will return to the track Saturday afternoon for their 1:40 PM (EDT) scheduled qualifying session that will determine the starting lineup for Sunday afternoon’s GEICO 400 race (which is scheduled to get underway approximately around 2:20 PM – EDT – with ESPN beginning their pre-race coverage at 1:00 PM – EDT).
