Patrick’s Stewart-Haas Racing owner/teammate, Tony Stewart, was second quickest with a lap speed of 195.363 mph, and they were followed by Kyle Busch (195.342 mph), Dale Earnhardt Jr. (195.101) and Jamie McMurray (194.978).
The 2011 Daytona 500 winner, Trevor Bayne (194.852 mph) posted the sixth quickest lap speed, followed by Paul Menard (194.814), the third Stewart-Haas Racing driver Ryan Newman (194.755), Joey Logano (194.645) and Jeff Burton (194.637).
The teams return Sunday afternoon for the Daytona 500 qualifying session at 1:o5 pm (ET – on FOX) where only the top-2 fastest qualifiers will be locked in for the pole and outside pole positions.

Austin Dillon, with a lap speed of 195.380 mph, was the second fastest and was followed by series Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender, Danica Patrick (195.359 mph). Then it was Paul Menard (195.177) fourth followed by Jeff Burton (195.088).
Rounding out the top-ten fastest during the practice session were Kasey Kahne (195.042 mph), Trevor Bayne (194.822), Juan Pablo Montoya (194.788), Dale Earnhardt Jr. (194.755) and Kyle Busch (194.696).
