From the Cockpit:
Carl Edwards:
“Headed to Sonoma. It’s one of the most fun racetracks that we go to. It’s slick. It’s unlike anything I grew up racing on, so it’s a real challenge. It’s tough. It’s tough on the crews, on the drivers, and on the crew chiefs. Strategy is always a huge part of it. It’s fun. You get to drive the race car to its limits, left and right, through all the gears, heavy braking, over the curbs. It really is just a fun race because you’re driving the race car the entire time. I look forward to Sonoma each year. I get to hang out with John Lundgren and a bunch of the folks from Stanley/Black & Decker each year when we go out there, which is a lot of fun. Hopefully, we can get them to Victory Lane. My one win at Sonoma was really one of the highlights of my racing career and hopefully we can do it again.”

From the Pit Box:
Dave Rogers
: “As a crew chief, you always enjoy going to tracks that your driver likes. Sonoma is one that Carl has been talking about for a while. The racing surface is slick, grip is low and the difficulty is high – this is Carl’s type of track. This Stanley Toyota Camry team is looking forward to the challenges our first road course venue of the season presents. It should be an exciting race.”
