From the Cockpit:
Carl Edwards:
“It’s always fun to go to Las Vegas. It’s a great race track. It’s a fun city, there’s a lot to do. We’re going there with a lot of confidence after our run at Atlanta. We had a great run in our ARRIS Camry and had a lot of speed. All of my teammates, Denny, Matt, and David, have been fast and were fast at Atlanta, so we feel like it’s an opportunity for us to go to Vegas and get a JGR win. We’ve got Comcast Business on the car this weekend. Comcast has been great to work with. Their partnership with ARRIS and with me has been a lot of fun so far. We shot a great commercial with Bubba Wallace and the XFINITY brand earlier this season. The two wins we’ve had at Vegas before were a lot of fun. Victory Lane at Vegas is a blast there in the garage with all the fans. To me, these mile-and-a-half races are very important because they are gonna teach us what we need to do to be fast all year. Everyone in the garage knows the mile-and-a-halves are what really make or break your season. It’s an opportunity for us to get a win, but probably more importantly an opportunity for us to learn and be better. My team has been amazing. I believe we had the fastest pit crew on pit road at Atlanta. It was a huge confidence booster for me. Darian and I have been doing great and I learned a bunch from my teammates last week. Everything is going well and we’re having fun. VIVA Las Vegas!”

From the Pit Box:
Darian Grubb:
“I’m really looking forward to getting to Las Vegas for our second mile-and-a-half race of the season. Had a strong showing at Atlanta, but the flat tire didn’t give us the result we wanted. Good team effort though. We showed some speed. Las Vegas is a fairly similar track, kinda bumpy with newer asphalt. Two new tires there for the left side and right side combination so we’re looking forward to getting there and trying to figure that out. The No. 20 had a pretty good test there for the tire test in January. Trying to use that information to make sure Carl’s fast when we get there. He’s got a great track record there with his last four races being a first and three fifths. So we’re hoping we can keep it up in the top-five and have a chance for a win for Comcast Business. Looking forward to it.”
