From the Cockpit:
Carl Edwards:
“Auto Club Speedway is a blast to drive. The surface lets you slide around. The way the Goodyear tires fall off there makes it a really competitive and a fun race. You can race three or four wide. I’ve had a lot of success there as a driver. The track is fun. For me it’s a special race this year because it’s TRD and Toyota’s home track. The JGR Camry’s have had a lot of success there, so for me it’s an exciting place to go. We have Subway on our Camry for their first race and I get to go and learn about Toyota and TRD, spend some time at their headquarters and get to know the people that help make our race cars go fast and build our engines. It’s just a really fun race. It’ll be an opportunity for us to go out and get a really solid finish, and hopefully compete for the win. We came off a tough race at Phoenix but I was really proud of my guys for staying in the fight and doing a great job on pit road. Darian is making great calls on the pit box. It’s going to be a fun race and I’m looking forward to it.”

From the Pit Box:
Darian Grubb:
“We’re going to Auto Club Speedway with Subway on our Toyota for their first race of the year. Carl has had success there in the past and we will work off of that. The track is fun for drivers with the surface being worn out and drivers can literally run from the white line all the way up to the wall. It’s a big and wide 2-mile track that’s also fast. You need a lot of horsepower because the straightaways are long, and that place is tough on motors, but I think that it’s always an exciting race.”
