Gordon Wins Charlotte Pole; First Time This Season, 69th of Career

Jeff Gordon scored his first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series pole of the 2010 season Thursday night at Charlotte Motor Speedway when he turned in a lap of 191.544 mph to claim the top spot for Saturday night’s Bank of America 500. It was 69th pole of Gordon's career.

Carl Edwards will start second followed by A.J. Allmendinger, Mark Martin and Paul Menard.

Gordon will try and win from the pole for the 19th time in career this Saturday night.
