From the Cockpit:
Carl Edwards:
“Going out to Phoenix. I love the Phoenix racetrack. It’s a lot of fun. It’s a really neat racetrack. It’s the site of my first pavement race, the Copper World Classic in 2001, so for me it’s always special to go back to Phoenix. We had a good solid run at Texas. Unfortunately, we are on the outside looking in, but it is such a close race from second to fifth that we really feel like if we go and we perform the way we have been, we can get a win and lock ourselves in for Homestead. We have a lot of confidence and we are faster and faster as the season goes on. We just have to go give it our best, hope that things go our way. We’ve got Stanley on the car. Everybody at Stanley Black and Decker has been amazing to work with. It would be so cool to put them in Victory Lane and head to Homestead for a run at the championship. My guys have been amazing on pit road. Darian’s (Grubb) been calling amazing races on the box and Jason’s (Hedlesky) been doing a great job on the spotter’s stand. We’ve just got to go have a good time out there in the desert.”
