ADVANCE NOTES

Biffle at Pocono
* In his 24 career Cup Series starts at Pocono, Biffle has one win, four top-five and seven top-10 finishes.
* In 2010 he earned his only victory at the “tricky triangle,” while his other stats include three top-five and six top-10 finishes.

One Year Ago at Pocono
Biffle had his sights on a solid top-10 finish at Pocono until the leader, of what would be the final restart of the race, had engine problems at the front of the field. The ailing car created quite the melee on the track and Biffle lost valuable track position. Despite so few laps left in the race, Biffle was able to make up a few spots to earn a 16th-place finish.

In the Points
Biffle is currently 19th in the point standings, 27 points out of 16th.

Biffle on Pocono:
“Pocono is a unique track. It’s a challenge getting the balance between the corners. I like turns one and two but then you suffer in the tunnel turn. You have to sacrifice somewhere and shifting also plays a role in how the car handles. It’s a game of cat and mouse trying to get all the corners perfect. We’ve gotten a lot better with our cars over the last few weeks so I’m curious to see how we do. I think we are going to be good, but you just never know until you get there and get going.”

Puccia on Pocono:
“Pocono has been a good track for the No. 16 team. It’s difficult to find the right setup with three distinctly different corners, finding a balance between them is a challenge. Track position is a big factor and tires don’t wear out like the old Pocono. Good fuel mileage is also crucial.”
