Could we be seeing another Keselowski celebration Saturday night? |
Keselowski's fast lap at 126.086 mph was captured on his fourth lap of the 70 he turned. Last fall, Keselowski captured his first career win at Richmond.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. was second fastest in the session (125.593) followed by Kevin Harvick (125.517), Jimmie Johnson (125.203) and Clint Bowyer (125.174).
Junior hasn't won at Richmond since 2006 and it's been 12 races since Johnson won. Each have three career wins on the track.

Johnson ran a session high 94 laps and also had the second fastest 10-consecutive lap average, a sign that Johnson may be much better this week than anticipated. Especially considering that Harvick wasn't obscene on the speed charts.
Rounding out the top-10 fastest drivers in the practice were Martin Truex Jr. (125.127), Kyle Larson (125.000), AJ Allmendinger (124.873), JoeyLogano (124.827) and Denny Hamlin (124.804).
The teams will have one more practice session and then qualify later tonight.
