It was David Reutimann, with a lap speed of 197.159 mph, on top of the speed charts in the final Good Sam Club 500 practice session at Talladega Superspeedway.
Second on the speed charts with a lap speed of 197.143 mph, was Martin Truex, Jr., followed by Joey Logano (196.350), Kyle Busch (196.346) and Jimmie Johnson (196.306).
You can see where this is going, right. It's one teammate after another in the two car tandem racing.
Rounding out the top-ten fastest during final practice was Dale Earnhardt, Jr. (196.302), Juan Pablo Montoya (196.025), Jamie McMurray (196.025), Mark Martin (195.632) and of course his drafting partner, Jeff Gordon (195.624).
It was interesting once again to watch all the two-car teams in action today.
In the first session Greg Biffle and Carl Edwards teamed up to be fastest followed by the Martin-Gordon duo. We also saw Marcos Ambrose and A.J. Allmendinger post some fast times together.
It was interesting watching Kurt Busch team with his restrictor-plate buddy Regan Smith, even though he has a teammate in Brad Keselowski. Busch and Ragan have teamed up all season in the plate races, including the Gatorade Duel which Busch won.
Next up is qualifying tomorrow.
Practice Speeds from Friday
