Martin Truex Jr. finally grabs victory in 2015 in Axalta 400 at Pocono

Martin Truex Jr. has led the most laps in past four races
Martin Truex Jr. finally got the victory he has been so close to securing. No one, not Kevin Harvick, not Jimmie Johnson, could catch Truex at Pocono.

After three races of leading the most laps in NASCAR's Sprint Cup series, Truex found nothing but clear track ahead as Sunday's Axalta "We Paint Winners" 400 entered its final laps.

"I knew we were going to get one," Truex said. "I knew we had the team, I knew we had what it took."

Consider the due factor done: Truex got his first victory of the season after 13 top-10 finishes in 14 races. Coming into Pocono, Truex had led 389 laps, earned five top-fives and finished in the top 10 in all but one of 13 races. Sunday, he built leads off great restarts and held off the best drivers in the series point standings.

Only a late crash could have brought Harvick and the trailing cars close to Truex's No. 78 Furniture Row Chevrolet. As his team was sweating out the final laps, it appeared Danica Patrick would bring out a dreaded yellow flag. However, Patrick's car spun without making contact and wound up under control on pit road. No caution.

And just like that, Truex finally got the break he needed.
