Montoya Fastest During First Michigan Practice; Johnson Looks Strong

Juan Pablo Montoya laid down down the fastest lap during the first practice session during Friday's practice session in preparation for qualifying for Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Michigan. While in race trim. Mark Martin and Jimmie Johnson looked pretty good.

Johnson brought his winning chassis from Las Vegas that also finished second at Texas, while Martin brought the same car that won at this race last year. An encouraging horsepower note comes from two-time Michigan winner Greg Biffle who had the third fastest  lap of practice while using the new FR9 engine for Roush-Fenway Racing.
