HUNTERSVILLE, NC (September 22, 2015) – Continuing their support of Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) and growing their brand with Carl Edwards, Sport Clips has expanded their partnership with JGR and Edwards. They have added two more NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races with Edwards and the No. 19 team at the second New Hampshire and Kansas races. They were the primary sponsor for the earlier race in New Hampshire and have had the second Texas race projected on their schedule.

“I’ve had a really great time working with the folks at Sport Clips and I’m excited that they will be a big part of our Chase,” stated Edwards. “I will be driving the No. 19 Sport Clips Camry at New Hampshire and Kansas in addition to the previously scheduled Texas race. After spending a little bit of time in Las Vegas with all the Sport Clips associates this year, it will be a lot of fun to represent them at those races. Sport Clips, for me, they make something that a guy doesn’t always look forward to, a haircut, they make it fun. They are a lot of fun to have at the race track as well. I had a great time hanging out with them at Darlington getting to know everybody and hopefully we can take some more victory lane photos together.”

From the Cockpit:
Carl Edwards:
”We are headed to New Hampshire and we are coming off a great first week of the Chase. I am really proud to have Sport Clips on board. They have been great to work with. Everyone at Sport Clips has been a huge part of our season. We are headed back to a track at which we qualified first last time and we had a JGR car in Victory Lane, so we feel really confident about our speed there. It’s one of the races in the Chase that I’ve been looking forward to. It’s a tough racetrack, everything has to be perfect. It’s a cool track and it’s tough because it’s pretty simple and it’s flat. To be outstanding there your car has to be perfect. You have to drive it very well and you have to have great strategy. I’ll really lean on Darian (Grubb), the engineers and my pit crew this week. They had a huge impact on the finish at Loudon last time. Darian and the guys have been working really hard and I feel like this is one of our opportunities to get a win in the Chase.”
