Local Boys
Three members of No. 16 3M team are from Pennsylvania. Team engineer Ben Beshore is from York, PA. Pit support member Dale Hoffman is from Allentown, PA and interior mechanic Wesley Lape is from Sinking Springs, PA.
Biffle on Pocono:
“I’m looking forward to Pocono. It’s been an up and down track for us, but with the new repave I’ve liked it a lot better and we’ve done a lot better. We’re struggling with our cars right now and we are struggling to get them to turn. We are looking for speed and hopefully a high-speed place like Pocono will play into our hands a bit. We’ll try and knock off a top-five finish and get ourselves back towards the front.”
Puccia on Pocono:
“Since the repave Pocono has been a different race track. It’s got a lot of grip and is much smoother than in years past. We ran well last year at Pocono. It’s difficult to find the right setup with three distinctly different corners, finding a balance between them is a challenge. Track position is a big factor and tires don’t wear out like the old Pocono. Good fuel mileage is also crucial.”
