Biffle at Phoenix
o Biffle has 19 Sprint Cup Series starts at Phoenix, earning five top-five and seven top-10 finishes while also leading for a total of 388 laps.
o He has an average finishing position of 13.9 from an average starting position of 14.4.
o Earlier this year at Phoenix, Biffle qualified 17th, led 39 laps, but settled for a 17th-place finish since his 3M Ford did not handle well in traffic.
o Chassis RK-867 was new when Biffle earned a third-place finish in the second Chase race at Loudon.
3M Scotch Tape – Did you know?
o Scotch® Cellulose Tape was invented in 1930 by Richard Drew, a 3M scientist. Later renamed Cellophane Tape, the tape was originally designed to be an attractive, moisture-proof way for grocers and bakers to seal cellophane wrap.
o Roughly 5.5 million miles’ worth of Scotch® Transparent Tape is made each year. That’s 645 miles of tape per hour, or enough to circle the earth 235 times!
Biffle on Phoenix:
“I love going to the desert and I’m really looking forward to Phoenix this weekend. We had a good car in the spring at Phoenix until we got back in traffic, but we’ve been working on our short track program so I’m confident going into this weekend.”
Puccia on Phoenix:
“We are looking forward to Phoenix. We’ve been showing lots of improvement on our short track program and this car is the same one that finished third in Loudon with a similar package. We are looking to get a good finish in our 3M Scotch Ford and build momentum going into the off season.”
