From the Cockpit:
Carl Edwards:
“Alright, heading to Richmond this week after a great run at Bristol. I really think that this one is going to be a lot of fun. During the test I heard that the track widened out a little bit so I’m really excited about the possibility of three different grooves there. Richmond can be a lot of fun when the groove widens out. I’ve had a lot of really great races there as a driver. The Joe Gibbs Racing team has been stellar there over the years. We’ve been running really well as a group. Every week we’ve been having fast cars. We’re excited to go battle again and have a good time. We’ve got Xfinity on the car and Xfinity has done so much in this sport it would be great to get them a win. With the X1 App and everything they offer is really amazing so hopefully we can represent them well. Our pit crew has been spectacular and that will be important at Richmond. Dave Rogers and I have been working really well together and having a lot of fun. Overall, Richmond’s a great place to go racing and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to get my second Cup win there.”

From the Pit Box:
Dave Rogers
: “The season is still very early and a lot can happen quickly in this sport, but I feel we’re starting to find our stride on this No.19 ARRIS Toyota race team. The folks here at JGR are building amazing racecars and our partners at Toyota are providing bullet proof power plants. As a race team, we’ve overcome adversity, we’ve led laps, we’ve captured a few poles and now we’ve won a race. All of this puts positive momentum on our side and gives us great confidence going into Richmond – another track that Carl has shown great strength at.”
