First NASCAR Sprint Cup Practice at Watkins Glen Cancelled Due to Rain

The first Finger Lakes 355 practice scheduled for early Friday afternoon at Watkins Glen International has been cancelled due to rain. The final 80-minute practice session is scheduled to run Friday at 4:10 pm (ET) and be televised by Speed.

The Nationwide Series cars use rain tires and ran a session on the wet track, but the Cup series doesn't, and won't.

Updates on the session to follow, if it runs.

Update: The final practice session began late due to moisture still on the track. After 50 minutes, Brad Keselowski had posted the fastest lap. 

Update: Kurt Busch finished with the fastest lap in the rain shortened session (61 minutes).
