RACE INFO: Bass Pro Shop NRA Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway (0.533-mile) begins at 8:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, August 20th. The race will be broadcast live on NBCSN, Sirius XM Channel 90 and PRN Radio.
From the Cockpit:
Carl Edwards: “Alright, we had a really fun weekend at Watkins Glen. We had some really fast racecars. We got presented with a few challenges and we responded well. The team has a week off and there’s no better place to come back to than Bristol to get back in the swing of racing. We’ve had a number of wins there. Dave (Rogers) and I and our team’s first win of the season was there. We’re going back with what we think is a better plan, a better car, and hopefully we can go qualify well again and put the STANLEY Toyota in Victory Lane. Bristol is 500 laps of insanity with the groove being up by the fence. You’ve really got to plan your passes. You’ve got to work traffic. Hopefully we can start up front, stay up front and play the game the right way. We’ve been having a lot of fun. This race is one of the ones we look forward to as an opportunity to have a good time and win another trophy before the Chase starts.”
From the Pit Box:
Dave Rogers: “We’re excited to return to the high banks of Bristol. We captured our first win of the season there and look forward to the opportunity to try to sweep the 2016 races at the famed short track and put STANLEY in Victory Lane.”.
