SONOMA--— Clint Bowyer held off Tony Stewart and Kurt Busch in a green-white-checkered finish to win the Toyota/Save Mart 350 on Sunday at Sonoma raceway.

Bowyer was leading the race when a caution flag came out with less than five laps to go. But he had an excellent restart and maintained the lead through the tight first two turns.

It is Bowyer's first career road course victory in what was his seventh Cup start at Sonoma raceway -- where he's finished in the top 10 four times. That included three fourth-place finishes.

Bowyer entered Sunday's race ninth in the Cup standings with five top 10 finishes in the last seven races.

Stewart was second, passing Busch in the last lap. Busch was third, easily his best finish of the season.

Busch entered Sunday 27th in the standings with just one top 10 finish this year. His best finish before this week was ninth at Fontana.
