Harvick Looking For First 'Dega Win; Bringing Winning Bud Shootout Chassis

Kevin Harvick will use Chassis No. 237 from the RCR stable. This chassis won the 2010 Bud Shootout at Daytona in February. Harvick will be making his 331st career start and 19th overall at Talladega. Harvick has three top-5 finishes along with four other top-10 finishes. He has an average finish of 16.3 at talladega and has led a lap in 11 of his 18 starts.

Despite never winning at Talladega, Las Vegas Sports Books respect Harvick more than most on the track as he is a co-favorite to win the race at 10 to 1 odds.

KEVIN HARVICK QUOTES:
You won the Bud Shootout and led the most laps in the Daytona 500, finishing seventh. Does that give you extra confidence this weekend in Talladega?
"I think running well in general gives you confidence, and we have done that this year. We certainly started the year off well in Daytona with a very strong Speedweeks, but Daytona and Talladega are different. Handling comes into play much more at Daytona than Talladega. I am certainly confident that we will have a fast car and a strong RCR engine, which will hopefully give us a good shot at winning."

When you tested here last month with the spoiler, could you tell a big difference with it as opposed to the wing?
"The cars themselves didn't really change much as far as how they drive in the draft. The biggest change is your ability to be able to see out in front of you. That has improved significantly. With the wing it was hard to see out in front of the car directly in front of you. But now with the spoiler, it definitely improves your vision which helps tremendously in the draft."
